Earn an American MA degree in Prague!
Along with the process of globalization, education has become more global. Now there are so many opportunities to earn your degree abroad. That is why we have developed our full-degree options so that you can study abroad AND still get an American degree.
This program takes place at the University of New York in Prague (UNYP) in cooperation with La Salle University.
The University:
The University of New York in Prague (UNYP) is a fully accredited university that offers American BA and MA degrees. Its MA degrees are awarded by the prestigious La Salle University, located in Philadelphia. With a history of over 140 years, La Salle University is a highly ranked regional American university, and Prague is the perfect campus!
The City:
Prague is the perfect place to study abroad! It has been often described as one of the jewels of Europe due to its beauty, charm, and rich history. Every visitor falls in love with the city. With over 1.3 million inhabitants it’s is the Czech Republic’s largest city and also its capital. The heart of the city is the Old Town, which once served as the medieval marketplace and now hosts a variety of shops and outdoor cafes. The city is overflowing with culture and history. When you’re enjoying a cappuccino on the Old Town Square you can see a unique blend of Gothic, Baroque, Renaissance and Art Nouveau architecture. From the Charles Bridge on the Vltava River, you can admire the Prague skyline with Hradcany Castle, whose 100 spires sparkle like stars at night. In addition to the breathtaking sights, Prague also offers a variety of cultural attractions such as concerts, museums, theatres, clubs, and restaurants. Since it is home to many of the Czech Republic’s best universities, there will be lots of students for you to meet and socialize with. Prague is a safe, affordable and friendly city, so you’re sure to have the time of your life!
Courses & Descriptions:
Professional communication skills have become one of the key aspects of all types of enterprises. Students on the PCPR program study with instructors from the U.S. and Europe on a program that challenges students to build and develop the skills and theoretical understanding needed to work in key positions in a wide variety of private and public enterprises.
The 15-month program of weekend studies (2 weekends per month) leads to an American Master’s Degree from La Salle University.
The comprehensive nature of the program covers the major aspects of internal and external communication in organizations, including:
• Persuasion
• Public Relations Campaigns
• Integrated Marketing Communication
• Promotions Management
Students currently studying on the program come from over half a dozen different countries. Past students have ranged in age from their early 20s to early 50s, and have come from a wide range of professional backgrounds including journalism, marketing, PR, diplomacy, education, and others.
Transfer Credit:
These MA degrees are awarded by La Salle University, which was founded in 1863 and is located just outside of downtown Philadelphia. La Salle University is accredited in the US by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Higher Education. There is no better place to get an American degree but in the beautiful setting of Prague!
Financial Aid:
There are many opportunities to finance your studies at UNYP/La Salle! American students can apply for prestigious scholarships. The GI Bill can also be used for our programs.
Students are invited to apply for the numerous scholarships provided by UNYP/La Salle such as the Academic Achievement Awards, Housing Stipends, and Social Stipends. Please contact our office for more details.
